Your journey really touched and remind me of my father playing guitar when he was deep in thought, and my grandfather who used to play organ and violin before age made it too difficult. I remember how he would have me listen to his compositions, transcribe them, and print them out to share with his friends - those were special moments.
Just last weekend, I asked my grandfather if he'd like me to buy him a violin so he could enjoy playing again - it made me smile to see his reaction!
I also used to be so motivated, then got an organ, guitar, and ukulele, but life's many interests make it hard to focus on learning.
